The Government has been asked to explain why President Yoweri Museveni has been shaking the hands of guests with his left hand.
UPC chief whip, Livingstone Okello Okello on Tuesday demanded to know whether Museveni was in good health.
“The President has even been eating with the left hand. People are entitled to know what is happening to their President,†Okello asserted and described the President’s sudden use of the left hand as ‘unusual’ and ‘strange’.
However, Daudi Migereko, the Government Chief Whip, said the President was in good health and was performing his duties.
“Our President is performing his duty to the satisfaction of the people who elected him,†Migereko, said.
Dr Chris Baryomunsi (NRM) said: “I don’t get worried when I see the President wearing a small plaster on his finger. He could have got injured while on duty. It is not a systemic infection of his whole hand.â€
