KAMPALA-Uganda is one of the three countries in Africa with the highest number of women having an ‘unmet need’ in family planning, the latest Population Reference Bureau report reveals. Uganda, alongside Rwanda and Togo, has a 40% record of unmet need. Unmet need is the percentage of married, productive women who desire to space or limit their births but are not using contraceptives.
Kids with HIV to be monitored
KAMPALA -Baylor Uganda and the US Centres for Disease Control recently donated computers and motorcycles to district health officers to monitor children living with HIV/AIDS. The Baylor executive director, Dr. Addy Kekitiinwa, said during the hand over of the items at their offices in Mulago Hospital that the computers would help to improve on data management.
