MUTESA I Royal University authorities at the Masaka Kirumba campus on Saturday blocked students belonging to the National Resistance Movement from launching their youth league at the premises, writes Ali Mambule.
“No office has given you permission to hold such an event on this campus,†the deputy vice-chancellor, Dr. Elizabeth Kiwalabye, said in a letter to the association chairperson.
Kiwalabye explained that while at campus, the students were supposed to be under the university administration which was answerable for all the activities going on.
However, this did not stop the students from organising the function which they held at Masaka district headquarters on the same day.
