The power line in Katungu cell Bushenyi town council that collapsed after a heavy downpour. The high-voltage line extends power to Western Uganda. According to residents, the poles have been down for over two months.

They said several Umeme officials had been visiting the area but nothing has been done to rectify the situation. They appealed to Umeme to address the problem, saying it puts their lives at risk. Attempts to get a comment from UMEME district officials were futile
