KAMPALA Central Division chairman, Godfrey Nyakaana, is one man with a surprise always up his sleeve. While at the ground-breaking ceremony for the Tirupati Ovino Market in Kisenyi recently, Nyakaana, a former boxer, shocked many officials when he turned up dressed like he was going for a training session.

Sporting a sleeveless T-shirt and trucksuit pants, Nyakaana caused murmurs of disapproval among guests. Noticing that his dress code was turning heads, the former boxer decided to defend himself when he took the stand to speak: “Many people expected me to be dressed in a suit.

You might now be wondering why I have dressed like this. But when I am coming to my people, this is how I dress. You must also understand that this is a weekend,” he said, triggering cynical laughter.
