Insurance broker AON negotiated settlement of 1,121 insurance claims worth sh2.2b last year, a statement has shown.
Insurance brokers act as risk advisers and intermediaries between the clients and insurance companies.
Suresh Kumar, the chief operations officer, said: “We help in speeding up claim settlements on behalf of our clients who range from corporate to small and medium operators.â€
Kumar said the company’s global presence and provision of services that meet the demand of a competitive global market had ensured a good service.
He said many times, claims are not honoured because of lack of information by clients.
Kumar said insurance brokers help with all the clients’ paperwork.
