EDITOR—I am not happy with the way<br>admissions are conducted at Makerere University. The selection takes place two months to the beginning of the first semester yet the process involves so much bureaucracy that the exercise is not finished by the reporting date!

admissions are conducted at Makerere University. The selection takes place two months to the beginning of the first semester yet the process involves so much bureaucracy that the exercise is not finished by the reporting date!
This leads to some students panicking and applying to other institutions.
Besides, it causes a lot of anxiety as it is likely that malpractices might take place during this time. makerere should improve.
