UGANDAN boxer Kassim “The Dream” Ouma narrowly survived death when his car crashed in the United States on Sunday. Ouma was on his way from Philadelphia to his West Palm Beach base.

After the cancellation of his fight against Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora that was due this Saturday, the Ugandan decided to leave his one-month training camp in Philadelphia for his home.

On his way, he rolled his Cadillac into a wreckage at Jacksonville town in Florida before reaching his home base.

“Kassim called immediately after the accident on Sunday and told me he had finished off the Cadillac but had escaped with minor injuries. He had earlier promised to send me the same car,” said Ouma’s former coach Kent Kibirige Musa.
Kent added that Ouma has some pain in one of his legs that got stuck in an accelerator pedal.

Ouma confirmed the accident on Monday but said that there was nothing to worry much about.

Ouma’s fight against Mora is now tentatively set for October 6 as an undercard for the main fight between Alfonso Gomez and Ben Tackie.

The fight was cancelled after Juan Manuel, who had been lined up for the main event against Rocky Juarez got injured in training last week.
