FIRST hold the eviction results’ anxiety for now. By press time yesterday, the Big Brother team had not yet tallied the votes that would see the fourth housemate get evicted from the DStv/M-Net reality show.

We predicted Zambia’s Maxwell, would get the boot. In fact, I am assuming that he is out of the house. What do we see happening?
Throughout last week, Maxwell had severed ties with his gossip-mate, Malawi’s Code, which by default kicked the Maureen chaser out of the so-called T-Unit (Kwaku, Lerato, Maxwell).
Maxwell thought Code might have been one of the people who put him up for possible eviction, and took to rubbing it in. But since sorting out their differences on Friday night, Code has still been a little close to the T-Unit.
But with the unifying force in Maxwell gone, I see Code becoming more distant from the group considering that the rivals now look at him as a traitor who is siding with Maureen, Tatiana, Richard and Ofunneka, who are on the other faction.
But much as Code will be alienated by the T-Unit, the Maureen faction will be stronger. So unless the new house head, after the Max ouster, is from the T-Unit, I see the gang-up crumbling flat on its face.
It is already missing Meryl, it will miss Maxwell even more, especially Lerato, who has been romantic with him. But do not expect Maureen’s faction to miss Maxwell, after all the hatred he has been showing them throughout last week.
In this evening’s nominations at 9:00pm, screened on M-Net, Maureen’s faction will have five people against three and that will be the beginning of the T-Unit’s journey back home.
I am hoping no one saves Bertha or Lerato when they come up for eviction. Maureen has upped her game from the previously boring type. But since the nominations are now based on sentiments, we cannot bank on her being more entertaining as the thing that will save her from being nominated.
But since her faction is stronger than the T-Unit in terms of numbers, expect to see two members of the steadily crumbling T-Unit up for possible evictions. It is just that the house head after Maxwell’s ouster might come from the T-Unit.
So do not be surprised if a housemate put in place of a nominated person is Maureen.
Since she is the unifying force of her faction, T-Unit might look to break it by jostling the main link. But this should not worry the Ugandans because T-Unit members have turned themselves into venomous snakes before the prying eyes of the continental audience.
Maureen coming up for possible eviction with a member of the T-Unit means she survives — forget that Kwaku and Bertha will nominate her. Those votes no longer shake us. We just have to use our vote to wage an open war against our enemies: Maxwell (if he’s still in the house), Kwaku, Bertha, and Lerato.
Tatiana and Richard have been inseparable for a couple of weeks now and they recently declared their love for each other. So if either is evicted, what would happen to the other?
Perhaps the question should be what would happen regarding their other halves in the real world? With Richard a married man and Tatiana almost married, we just cannot be sure what to expect. But such a time as when one of the two is evicted will come.
Perhaps we should post our satellites to capture what happens in the rooms. We are in for more this week.
