Nabagereka Sylvia Nagginda has handed over a sh7m house built for a widow, Margaret Nassolo in Buyoga by the Lutheran World Federation (LWF).

Nassolo also received blankets for her four children.

Nagginda, who launched the operations of the federation in Bukomansimbi, Masaka district, urged the residents to immunise their children.

She commended LWF for not only creating awareness about the spread of HIV/AIDS but also providing household necessities to the needy people.

The Nabagereka urged the residents of Masaka and Sembabule districts to consider sanitation as a major factor in fighting diseases.

LWF has been constructing houses for the poor in Sembabule district since 2002.

The area LWF manager, Samuel James Kibanga, told the locals that so far, they had built 50 houses in Sembabule and Masaka districts.

Each house has a latrine, kitchen and a 5,000 litre water tank.
