Leaders get bicycles

RUKUNGIRI-The Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, Dr. Edward Muhima, has given bicycles to 200 lay leaders to help them carry out their work. Handing over the bicycles at Kinyasaano Cathedral, Bishop Muhima, warned the beneficiaries against diverting the bicycles to ungodly work. “The vehicle President Museveni gave me during my consecration is used for God’s work. When I have my personal things, I use other means. I want you also to use these bicycles when you are doing God’s work.” The bicycles that cost about sh30m were donated by the Diocese of Winchester in England.

KAYUNGA-Two children were on Friday night burnt to death when a fire gutted their house while they were asleep. The incident took place at around mid-night at Nakyesa village in Kayonza sub-county. Their mother Janet Namaganda was not in the house. The district criminal investigations chief, Grant Tabo, identified the dead as Edmond Muwonge, 6, and Moses Lubega, 4, both children of Moses Muwonge.
