MOSES Kipsiro and Abraham Chepkirwok turn their focus on the Tusker International Athletics meet in Nairobi, on Saturday with burning desire to recover from their grand prix debacle in Stuttgart last weekend.
The duo ended the global event dismally, finishing seventh in the 3000m and 800m races respectively.
The two Ugandan runners are among eight foreign athletes who will take part in the lucrative event at Nyayo National Stadium that will be run under floodlights for the first time.
The head of organising committee for the event, Martin Keino said the two ugandan runners had confirmed their participation. They will join Demma baba of ethiopia, South Africa’s mbulaeni Mulaudzi, among others.
Maputo Express, Maria Mutola has been ruled out of the event owing to injury. This gives, “Eldoret Expressâ€, Janeth Jepkosegei an easy time in her 800m speciality. Ethiopia's Tariku Bekele and Meselech Melkamu withdrew at the 11th hour.
