MOSES Kipsiro and Abraham Chepkirwok ended their track and field season with seventh place finishes in their respective 3000m and 800m races at the World Athletics finals in Stuttgart, Germany, on Saturday.

In an all invitation two-day event that closes the international track and season calendar, Kipsiro and Chepkirwok this time failed the final kick, which has before seen them sprint to the front with ease. They each won sh5.2m for their efforts.

Kipsiro, who had run with the leading pack in the first five of the seven and half lap race, failed the final sprint, as Kenyan Edwin Soi took the top honours.

Chepkirwok on the other hand, tried his outer lane running antics to no avail. The two return home tomorrow for a three-month rest before they start preparations for the World Cross Country and the World Indoor Championships due
March next year.
