MP for Rubaga South, Susan Nampijja Lukyamuzi is not so single. She has a guy. Rehema Aanyu talked to her about the love of her life

How did it start?
Moses and I were students at Makerere High School. We were both in A’Level. When I met him again at Campus during my third year in 2002, our friendship blossomed into something special, stronger and unique.

What is so special about him?
He is my first love. We have been through a lot together. He is patient with me. We trust each other so I do not think anything can interfere with our relationship. I love him because he loves and respects my people too.

Would you fight off other women?
No! I am not that insecure. Women who do such have no self esteem. I love myself too much to stoop that low.

Does he call you Honourable?
He calls me Susan. It is more romantic and original than even sweetheart or darling. These endearments are overused and unoriginal.

Don’t other MPs disturb you?
No they do not. They are my colleagues and I treat them as so. They respect me and I do so too.

How do you deal with advances from men?
I am straightforward. If I am not interested in you I tell it to you straight to your face. Many think I am proud but that is the way I am. It is better than keeping you running in circles.

How do you express your love for Moses?
I buy him simple gifts and let him know how much I love him every second of the day. I also treat him right.

What would make you dump him?
If he changes into someone I am uncomfortable with.
