THE Wandegeya African Muslim Community has sued some relatives of the late Hajji Musa Kasule over the alleged sale of land belonging to the Wandegeya Mosque in 2002.

According to documents seen by The New Vision, members of the community said Isaac Kasule, Mariam Nakiseke, Sophia Kasule and Nasir Byaruhanga sold the land to Swaibu Katamba in 2003.

The transfer forms show that the land cost sh15m.

The members said the land was registered in 1968 under the Trustees Incorporation Act by the then Minister of Mineral and Water Resources.

They added that in 1970, they purchased the land located at Kibuga Block 38, which included plots 227, 229 and 241 from Musa Kasule, Sheikh H.A. Sekimwanyi, Musa Sebaduka and Juma Semakula.

It was later registered in the names of the Muslim community in 1972.
They members also called for the cancellation of the forged land titles.

However, the defendants have called for the dissolution of the community, arguing that it was illegal.

The case was filed at the High Court on August 9.
