KAGA Property Services (KPS) has launched a campaign to enable every Ugandan live in a decent house by 2010. The campaign dubbed ‘Live longer in decent homes,’ aims at creating modern villages, which will help conserve the environment.

The investment worth billions of shillings targets Ugandans who are disadvantaged, may have money but don’t have the will or time to monitor construction processes.

Gerald Tukahabwa, the group’s marketing director, said buying a house is like buying a car. “You need to know the type, model and the size you want. You may need a family car and if you buy a small saloon car, it becomes a waste.”

“We are trying to provide ideal homes quickly with no stress. Ugandans only need to identify preferred areas and have the will to own a house; the rest will come,” Tukahabwa said.

The company has created estate villages like the Kakungulu Estate on Entebbe Road. Other estate villages are in Buziga, Namugongo, Ntinda, Naalya, Banda-Kyambogo and Buwate-Najeera.

The firm’s offices are on Lions Shopping Centre, Namirembe Road.
