SPICES come in different forms — dried seed, fruit, root, bark or vegetables. They are used to add flavour to food. It is important to know which spices to use with particular foods.
“For example, Indians apply coconut milk, chilli and cheese in their dishes, but spices like garam masala and cumin seeds make a world of difference to food,†explains Azziz K, of Millennium Supermarket.
“Parsley or Dhania are particularly good as garnishes while coriander, turmeric, sage and mixed spices are good in meats.
