COROLINA invites Alejandro to her house to lunch. She seduces him into sleeping with her. She also spends the next day at Alejandro’s house because she could not drive back home in a storm. Soledad finds Carolina in the house the next morning when she comes with Romelia to ask Alejandro to help Reinaldo.
Apparently, Reinaldo is going to collect an illegal shipment of drugs from the pier and the police have an undercover agent on them. Alejandro is not ready to help and so Romelia takes Soledad’s car to go and warn Reinaldo, leaving Soledad with Alejandro.
Reinaldo tells his mother that he is not involved in anything illegal and instead makes a call for the ship to change course. The police arrive but find nothing of interest. Jose Louis realises that his mother must have overheard and tipped Reinaldo.
As Alejandro gives Soledad a ride to her house, she confronts him about his relationship with Carolina. He says that he is trying to move on with his life and forget the impossible love they had. He is trying to find happiness with another woman. Soledad decides to go out with Carlos Alberto after all, leaving Alejandro burning with jealousy. At dinner, Alejandro admits to Bernado that maybe Carolina is the woman that can help him forget about Soledad.
Carlos Alberto also assures Soledad that he will help her forget Alejandro and even manages to steal and awkward kiss or two. Will Alejandro and Soledad really forget each other?

Diego goes into a fit of rage after Daniela’s revelation that the baby is not his. A call to Diana confirms that Migel and Berenice are lovers. Diego sends his security officer to follow Berenice around as she goes to the travel agent to buy her tickets.
He informs Diego that she has moved to a restaurant and is meeting with a man. Diego and Diana walk into the restaurant and catch Berenice and Migel kissing. Diana and Diego sit with the two adulterers and make toasts to their infidelity and folly.
Diego insists that he will not allow Berenice to go with the baby, unless his real father came and claimed the child. Berenice blurts out that Migel is the father. Diego is shocked, but still refuses to sign the papers to let the baby out of the country. Legally, he is still the father of the baby.
Meanwhile, Paloma makes the painful decision to move to London as Mariano’s assistant. It is either that or she gets fired. Inez calls Mr. Avellaneda and finds out Paloma’s decision. Filled with remorse, she begs him to make Paloma reverse her decision.
Back at their apartment, a scuffle for the baby follows. Diego surrenders and lets Berenice and Migel take the baby. At the hotel, Migel sees the Sanchez-Zambrano army walk in and runs to the room to get Berenice and the baby out, but Berenice is in the shower. An idea hits him. He takes all Berenice’s money and the baby. He plans to run away and use the baby to get a ransom. Greedy fool!
