WE have all been told that every lady must have a little black dress in her wardrobe. It is supposed to be the emergency fall back for any occasion. But we do have trouble finding an outfit that suits our unique shapes and tastes and at the same time one that sets us apart from the crowd.

I have been exploring several options and I hope you can find the little black dress that meets your requirements. Here is the last one.

The outfit:
The cut of this black dress with its stand collar makes it a working dress perfect for all office functions and parties. It is elegant and formal, a great combination for schmoozing at that business cocktail.

Tip:
The fuller the figure, the freer the cut of the dress to disguise the curves we want to hide. The A line cut of the skirt flatters ladies with fuller hips.

Fabric requirements:
Fabrics that are ideal for this outfit are chiffon, georgette, linen, silk and satin, bazaar and suiting fabric.
2-2 ½ metres of double width fabric is needed for the dress if it is not cut on the bias grain. (The taller and fuller the figure, the more the fabric required)
½ -1metre of richly embroidered fabric will be needed to create the neck and cuff details on the outfit as illustrated.
