JOEL Olweny hit 68 runs as Ugandan cricketers got their revenge over Bermuda with a 43-run victory in their third international friendly in Nairobi yesterday. Uganda earlier beat Kenya by 98 runs and lost to Bermuda by five runs in warm up game for next month’s ICC Division III games.

Victory over Bermuda will raise morale in the team that hopes to qualify from Divison III in Namibia next month to the ICC Mini World Cup due in Dubai next year. Bermuda were at the last World Cup. Arthur Kyobe (41), Nandi Kishore (35) and Richard Okia (37) helped Uganda set a target of 253.

Kenneth Kamyuka (2 for 23) and Daniel Ruyange (2 for 34) then terrorised the Bermuda batsmen as they struggled at 17 runs for five before recovering.

Meanwhile, Uganda will start their ICC Division III campaign in Windhoek on November 24 against United Arab Emirates.
