GOALKEEPERS dictated the path to the final in the football semi-finals of the utl inter-university games at Lugogo on Tuesday. After being outplayed by Kyambogo in the closing stage, defending champions Makerere looked doomed to lose the title.

But goalkeeper Joseph Sebuliba stood out as the hero, saving two penalties that denied Kyambogo a place in the final.
The result came after a 1-all draw. Kyambogo had fought hard from behind to level it one-all in regular time.

Makerere face Kampala University who were also pushed through by keeper Nicholas Sebwoto, who also saved several shots.

The month-long games end on Saturday. The winners will receive sh10m, the runners-up sh6m and sh4m for third team.
