CRANES international Eugene Sseppuuya has finally found a home at Serbian club Vojvoidina. The gangly striker, who had been club-less since parting ways with Armenian club Banants FC early this year, reportedly agreed a two-year deal with Vojvoidina yesterday.
According to Cranes defender Nestroy Kizito, who turns out for the same club, Sseppuuya could make his first appearance tomorrow against mid-table Borac Cacak.
“If his documentation is cleared before Friday, he is likely to start. He has impressed the club officials,†Kizito said.
The former SC Villa forward struck six times in his first trial match as Vojvoidina routed fourth division side Zenith last week. He returned to score twice in Vojvoidina’s 3-2 win over Combol.
“He is happy with the terms he was presented with and determined succeed,†Kizito added.
Coach Laszlo Csaba excluded Sseppuuya from the Cranes side that thumped Niger 3-1 for failing to secure a club over the last several months.
