ALLAN Musoke will wear the captain’s armband as defending champions Kobs seek a record eighth Hima Makerere International Rugby 10s title this weekend.

Kobs coach Arthur Mugweri yesterday confirmed that Musoke will stand in for Adrian Bukenya who was injured in Madagascar while on national duty last month.

Mugweri admitted that the uganda telecom sponsored champions will have to work hard to beat local and international opponents at Kyadondo.

“Heathens and Cente Rhinos have improved a lot and play with purpose nowadays. On the other hand you can’t take any Kenyan side for granted,” Mugweri stated.

Mugweri warned that they will be out to avenge their defeat in the Kitaka Memorial 7s tournament two weeks ago.

“We have advantage in the 10s because our players are fast,” Mugweri said.

Kobs are drawn in the same pool with Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), Buffaloes and Cente Rhinos.
Makerere Impis Rugby Club is organising the two-day tournament.
