SHERATON Hotel has sunk sh33m into the ITF Futures professional circuit tournament that runs Nov. 19-24 at Lugogo.

“We are very happy to be associated with this prestigious tournament and UTA,” Sheraton’s general manager Jawaid Akhta said, before handing over a dummy cheque.

“We will continue to support the association,” he told Uganda Tennis Association chairman John Nagenda. Also in attendance were Brussels airlines country manager Pierre Declerck and National Council of Sports’ Sam Walusimbi.
The event has attracted ranked players from several countries.

They include Matwe Middelkoop from the Netherlands and Gabriel Moraru of Romania.

The players are currently playing the first leg in Rwanda. They move to Sudan after the Kampala leg.
