What killed Mayombo?
EDITOR—In May, Uganda lost one of its most promising citizens, Brigadier Noble mayombo Apuuli. Mayombo who was the permanent secretary in the defence ministry is said to have died of acute pancreatitis but there was and still is a lot of talk about his having been poisoned. <br>
EDITOR—In May, Uganda lost one of its most promising citizens, Brigadier Noble mayombo Apuuli. Mayombo who was the permanent secretary in the defence ministry is said to have died of acute pancreatitis but there was and still is a lot of talk about his having been poisoned.
Both President Museveni and defence minister Crispus Kiyonga said his death would be fully investigated and an investigation committee was set up.
The year is coming to an end and mayombo seems to have been forgotten! The public needs to be assured that Mayombo was not poisoned or if he was, it is important to investigate who poisoned him and why.
Commissions of inquiry in this country have a notorious habit of dying natural deaths maybe because people forget very fast. Please tell us what killed Mayombo so fast!
