EDITOR — I have complained to Nema several times about the terrible noise made by Soberz bar in Ntinda but nothing much has been done. The bar operates 24 hours a day and plays loud music especially at night! The funny thing is that it plays loudest between midnight and 4:00am when thugs are likely to be lurking in the neighbouring.
Most of those thugs who terrorise Ntida spend nights in that bar. Recently, they cut the iron sheets of a shop just next to soberz, dropped inside and stole all the money they found there but because of the noise no one heard them.
We don’t sleep due to the noise and thugs use the cover of the loud music to break into our houses. I pray that Kampala City Council Police, NEMA and all other stakeholders act in unison to save us from the noise and the thugs. Why doesn’t Soberz obey the law?
