The Chief Executive Officer, Robert Kabushenga, said Vision Voice 94.8 is not just a new radio, but a new voice.

"We are offering our listeners useful content and entertainment that will make a difference in their lives,” he said, thanking the public for their committed waiting for the radio."

The radio, which covers a radius of 100 kilometers, officially kicked off today morning at 5:30am, with the 'News Review’. It was followed by the 'Bridal Breakfast' with Keturah Kamugasa from 6 to 9am.

Kabushenga said Vision Voice 94.8’s content and programmes have been developed in a way that will give it a unique identity.

Bill Tibingana, the Programmes Director promised a unique quality of content and programming.

On the radio’s programme today, another thrilling talk show – That’s It, will follow for two hours from 9am, hosted by Stella Ipas; and later Joseph Batte will step in with the History of the Music – taking us to the roots and the brains behind music for the past decades.

Batte will review Philly Bongoley Lutaaya (RIP), whose music and messages thrive on in spite of his death 18 years ago. “There is Lutaaya the person, and Lutaaya the musician,” Batte said. “Our listeners will get to know him fully.”

Ipas programme will host Cathy Watson who is the Director of Straight Talk Foundation. Watson is a renown female communications expert. Others on the show will be Dr. Watiti, a doctor living with HIV and Martha Naigwe who, Saturday Vision reported about as living positively with HIV since birth.

Today’s programmes are timed to suit World AIDS Day, which is commemorated today.

The Sports line programme will be on air at 2pm to 4pm, hosted by Joseph Opio alongside the sports crew at The New Vision. Gloria Kyomugisha will then take control with The Sports Bar till 7pm when Samuel Ouga will play a mix of dance music.

Sunday’s line up will include the morning gospel programme, Alive, and several entertaining, informative and educative programmes.
