FIVE more suspects, including three women, have been arrested over the murder of a UPDF officer and the manager of Post Bank, Kabale branch.
This brings to 15, the number of people suspected to have killed Lt. Richard Kakuru, attached to the artillery school in Masindi, and Brian Taremwa.

The suspects are Lydia Namakula, Doreen Ndagire and Sylvia Nasozi, Fred Kanyike, Godfrey Kisitu, David Kizito, Sumalia Diaz, James Kimbowa and Alex Lule. Others are Moses Miiro, Yusuf Jingo, Mande Ndugwa, Zakariah Byansi, Francisco Mpore and Ssenyonjo.
They are being detained at Kira Road Police station.

The station head, Alex Asiimwe, said Kakuru and Taremwa were killed by a mob in Kisaasi, a Kampala suburb.
“There could be more arrests since many people participated in the mob justice,” Asiimwe said.

Kakuru and Taremwa were killed as they were returning home after a party hosted by their sister, Collins Nuwagaba, at a nearby school. Their bodies were burnt by a crowd that thought that they were thieves.
