TOP seed Duncan Mugabe easily brushed aside Burundi’s Moussa Hakizimana 6-0 6-1 to book a crunch final tie with Egypt’s Zeiad Montasser at Lugogo today. The 17-year-old Mugabe was in total control from the first serve, as he took less than an hour to push aside his error prone opponent.

Mugabe used his powerful serve once again as he raced to an early 3-0 lead in 25 minutes and maintained his run with several big baseline winners, to eventually take the first set in 35 minutes.

“This has been the best tennis I have played this week and I was very consistent during the game,” Mugabe said after the win. “It will be a tough final for me and I know second seed Montasser will come with a different game for me.”
The ITF/East Africa U-18 circuit Uganda leg is sponsored by Brussels Airlines and concludes today.
