NEW Vision readers can nominate their best and worst personalities this year, writes Josephine Maseruka.

The readers should buy a copy of The New Vision, make their nominations and send the coupon to the Features Editor, P.O.Box 9815, Kampala. All respondents qualify for a draw in which the 10 lucky people will each win sh50,000. The nominations end on December 15.

Coupons can also be hand-delivered at The New Vision head offices on Third Street Industrial Area or to our marketing department on Jubilee Insurance Building, Parliament Avenue.

Upcountry participants can also send their responses to our agents or offices in the respective areas. Only original coupons will be accepted, not photocopies or e-mail entries.

Barbra Kaija, the deputy Editor-in-Chief, said choosing the best and worst each year gives “our readers an opportunity to give a feed-back on issues that happened throughout the year. They can tell us what they liked or disliked.”

Catherine Mwesigwa, the Features Editor, said the project enables the readers assess the different aspects of Uganda’s society. “They rate different ministries, offices and personalities of the year. It has become an interesting source of debate on who performs best and worst in different sectors.”
