Tamale received the prestigious crown after scoring 54 points in the finals, which were held at Lugogo Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

Tamale answered difficult questions asked by Simba’s Luganda gurus Jimmex Ssemanda and Abu Ssemwogerere. The questions rotated on the syntax, semantics, proverbs of Luganda, the history, culture of Buganda and the current socio-political and economic issues.

The residents of Luweero, where Tamale hails, jubilated when he was crowned the winner.

Tamale received a motor-bike from Front Page Micro-finance. Andrew Bazira, Ssebitosi Mukiibi and Prince Wamala, were the first, second and third runners-up, respectively.
