HELLEN Rono and Regina Kimosop snatched a 1-2 finish in the 5000m to keep Ndejje in the lead on day three of the inter-university games athletics event in Mukono yesterday.

In the field events, Patrick Kibwota recorded the second national best time of 59.39m over teammate Wilson Olanya (59.24).

Makerere University’s David Okot beat the field in high jump after leaping over 2.05 meters. Ndejje’s Samuel Otim followed with 1.90.

The 10000m gold, however went to KIU’s Samuel Ayiekho, who came first in 33.02.2mins ahead of teammate Daniel Kipkorin (33:02.4).
