THE Government has increased Prison warders’ salaries from sh164,000 to <br>sh200, 000. The revision brings them to parity with teachers, the army and the Police.

sh200, 000. The revision brings them to parity with teachers, the army and the Police.
According to Kirunda Kivejinja, the internal affairs minister, the jump in a warder’s salary takes effect in July.
Kivejinja, while at a workshop at Colline Hotel, Mukono, challenged the Prisons’ boss, Dr. Johnson Byabashaija, to plan better accommodation for the force.
Byabashaija promised iron sheets for the warders if there is good planning.
