MOROTO - The LC5 vice-chairperson, Paska Napeyok, has warned civil servants against dodging training workshops. “This is irresponsible and fraudulent because some officers return at the end of the workshop to sign for allowances without mercy for the tax payer,” she said. Napeyok made the remarks on Wednesday while opening a two-day workshop organised by the local government ministry.

Kiira school to raise funds
JINJA - Several local artistes are expected to hold a concert in Jinja town on June 13 to raise funds for Kiira College Butiki’s golden jubilee celebrations. The event is slated for July 18. Jabweli Okello, the Old Boys’ chairperson, said they would hold a charity walk and clean some areas in the town before the concert. Artistes expected to perform include Mega Dee, Weasel, GNL and Menton Crono, all Old Boys of the school.
