EDITOR—I would like to register my dissatisfaction with the MTN Mobile Internet service in the past few days. For some reason, towards the end of last week and especially over this past weekend, it has been almost impossible to open web pages for long periods of time.

This is with the exception of the MTN Uganda website. I really don’t have much use for that website and I believe a significant number of subscribers don’t either. The only use I would have for it is to lodge complaints about the poor service experienced but all of the contacts I have made have yielded no responses from the concerned parties at MTN.

Furthermore, the customer service telephone number 077122 the website says MTNInternet users can use never connects! I know MTN staff are known to be individually and collectively professional, and the organisation has a trail of awards to show for it, but if the end product to customers is as consistently poor as it has been lately, the glitter gained just begins to fade! MTN, do something about the mobile Internet service because people do not pay sh90,000 per month only to access your website.

EDITOR—I am not happy with the MTN Internet Mobile service. It is almost impossible to open a web page for five minutes. As if that is not bad enough, the customer service number is totally useless because try as you might, there is no response from the service provider! Why should I continue subscribing to this ‘service’?
