BUSINESSMAN Sudhir Ruparelia has invested $14m (about sh30.5b) in Kampala International School in Bukoto, a city suburb. The school, which comprises pre-primary, primary and secondary sections, is the first of its kind in Africa and is located on 14 acres of land. It has so far enrolled about 500 students and pupils.
“We have come up with a difference in education. The academic environment we have put in place in this school cannot be got elsewhere in the region and Africa in general,†Ruparelia said.
He said the classroom blocks, compound, swimming pool and other utilities were designed according to international standards for a conducive learning environment.
