The fifth Inspire Annual Conference 2009 held at the Grand Imperial Hotel, Kampala recently was about networking. The conference was organised by Christian professionals from five churches in Kampala: All Saint’s Cathedral, Deliverance Church (Wandegeya), Watoto Church, Full Gospel Church, Makerere and Bugoloobi Church of Uganda.

The conference equipped over 300 professionals with knowledge on how to achieve destiny under the theme, “Soaring above the Storm”. Motivational speaker Julian Kuyula encouraged professionals to find their area of interest and use their potential to achieve their goals. Entrepreneur Eric Kimani narrated how he started with only one cow and now supplies 10,000 litres of milk in Nairobi daily. He emphasised the need for business leaders to build trust in their staff.

Speakers discussed topics including innovation, proper planning, business, courage and positive thinking. Kimani and Kuyula advised professionals to have financial discipline if they want to succeed.

At the end of every address, participants were given a chance to ask questions. Participants who attended previous conferences said the conferences had inspired them to start businesses.

Participants won Vision Voice FM T-shirts after answering questions on lessons learnt from the conference. Vision Voice Radio co-sponsored the conference with Stanbic Bank, Standard Charted Bank, East Arican Business Week and Power FM.
