Julie Muteesaasira, a Gospel artiste based at Kamwokya’s Upper-room Church, has released her maiden album to consolidate her musical ministry.

The album, Nkwagala, has six songs, which proclaim the love of God and the joy of salvation.

The title-track, Nkwagala, is Muteesaasira’s biggest Gospel hit. Done in mid-tempo reggae, the song echoes Muteesaasira’s total surrender to Jesus, the giver of eternal life.

It is laden with Christian devotional lyrics, which enhance its inspirational power.
The song has become the hottest item at Gospel concerts and is also enjoying airplay on local Christian radio stations.

Another song, Ankuuma, acknowledges Jesus’ protection to those who embrace salvation. Done in the Afro-beat style, the song is rich with jubilant praise and worship. Other songs on the album include Mukama Mukoowoole, Kammunoonye and Sikyebaka.

Recorded at Kamwokya’s Dream Studio, the album is available at the Upperoom Church at sh10,000.
Although this is her first musical project, Muteesaasira is already a big name in the local soul music fraternity, owing to her powerful voice. She sings with life, musical dynamism and spiritual conviction.
Her infectious smile is also another quality that has attracted her a big fan base.
