SKIPPER Thomas Opio and midfielder Ronald Kawalya inspired Wanainchi Hockey Club to another victory the national league.

The mid-week game saw Opio score twice early on against Kampala Club before before Swaibu Matovu reduced the margin for a 2-1 half time score.

But in the 41st minute of the second half, Kawalya extended the victors' lead and sealed Kampala's fate with a well-taken goal.

The win put Wanainchi on top of the league table with 15 points ahead of Simba Union in second place with just a point adrift.

Today Weatherheads will be playing Sadolin while tomorrow Sadolin will go in for another battle against Wanainchi at the Lugogo hockey pitch.
