Okay, flat-fronted trousers can no longer be called a new trend because they have been around for sometime.

Ronnie of Sketch Modeling and Fashion Agencies, says a genuine and fashionable flat-front trouser must be identified from the material from which it is made.

Ideally, since they do not have pleats to support them at the bottom, they should be made from thick fabric like khaki or thick cotton so that it stays firm when worn.

Mugoya of Pearl Designs says it is a mistake for a flat front to have pleats (folded layers of fabric below the waistline on either thigh). You must also avoid pleat-less trousers with a turn-up (cuff) at the bottom of either leg.

According to Mugoya, flat-fronts should be worn with loose-fitting shirts. A blazer is recommended as opposed to the ordinary suit jacket.

As you make your choice, remember that tight-fitting clothes flatter slimmer men.
