The charity’s Ugandan affiliate PEAS-Uganda also plan to launch another two new schools next February in Masindi and Hoima, according to group chief John Rendel.

S. Sudan for schools gala
- South Sudan has confirmed entry in the East Africa schools games due in Fort Portal this weekend.
Uganda Schools Sports Association secretary Chris Mugisa said Sudan was among the 60 teams confirmed including teams from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. The Sudanese are expected to spice up the regional event due August 30. The meet involves soccer, basketball, rugby, volleyball, handball, netball and hockey.

Villa to open fans branches
- SC Villa will on Sunday head to Kiboga to open a first fans’ branch in the area. The club will also parade its new players and the Kakungulu Cup trophy, and later play a friendly with Kitonda FC- the first division winners. “The club wants to launch branches before the league kick-off,” said club official Dennis Mbidde.
