AFTER being demoted in their maiden Uganda Super League season, Mbale side CRO, that recently bounced back to Uganda’s top soccer competition, are seriously building up for the September 19 kick-off. To avoid a repeat of the 2007-8 season, CRO recruited former national coach Frank ‘Video’ Anyau, and will also have international friendlies. 25 players and four officials will tune-up with Kenya Premier league sides starting today.

URU to review constitution
The Uganda Rugby Union has appointed a review committee that will draft proposals for amendment of its constitution. Union secretary Alex Kalimugogo will guide the committee that comprises of three lawyers, Philip Karugaba, Sam Ahamya and Michael Wandera, son to former UOC boss Major General Francis Nyangweso.

Local body needs sh200m
The Uganda Hockey Federation is looking for over sh200m to enable them host the Intercontinental club championships at Lugogo in November. The international hockey body gave Uganda the go-ahead to host the week-long games event early this month. The federation secretary Emmauel Ewachi welcomed the offer but said lack of funds could hamper them from making the competion as colourful as they wished.
