Visiting Irish pastor Dr. Cecil Stewart will preach at Parliament and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) head offices at Nakawa.

The prayers are aimed at asking God to enable the MPs make good laws and the tax body to achieve its target of revenue collection.

Stewart, who arrived in the country on Friday, was received by Pastor Moses Muzaaya of the Paradise Faith Church Centre.

Stewart, who was accompanied by his wife Evelyn, will meet the Parliamentary Christian Fellowship group on Thursday and will be at the URA headquarters for a breakfast meeting on Friday.

“URA needs a blessing to raise revenue and therefore, they need a hand of God. Parliamentarians as leaders need God’s wisdom to make good laws,” pastor Muzaaya said.

The preacher is in the country to hold church leaders and workers seminars from September 3 - 4 at Hotel Africana and hold the crusades in Jinja from September 5- 6.

“The presence of Jesus will bring hope and answers to the hopeless. There will be great transformation,” Stewart said on arrival at Entebbe International Airport.

Stewart, who was bestowed the Order of British Empire by the Queen of England for developing nursing homes in Europe, will pray for the nation before he proceeds to Kenya.

Stewart was in Uganda country three years ago.
