St. MARY’S Kisubi continued to show why they are rugby favourites in the East Africa schools games by beating their namesakes, St Mary’s of Kenya, 20-0 in Fort Portal yesterday.

In football, Baden Powell of Tanzania caused a major shock, holding St Mary’s SS Kitende to a goalless draw.

The result was however still good enough to see the football defending champions through to the semi-finals due tomorrow.

National girls’ basketball record champions Nabisunsa Girls started this year’s campaign with mixed fortunes on Monday.

The event favourites started with a 52-46 loss to Kenyan side Tigoi but quickly recovered to beat Rwanda’s LCND 52-29 to grasp a mathematical chance of going past the group stages.

Actions continues today.
