ITALIAN soccer giants Inter Milan will in future tap talent from St. Joseph Mixed Primary School Naggalama after initiating a partnership with them.
The relationship with the school was hammered when Inter sponsored the school team to this year’s Toscana U-14 world soccer tournament last week.
St. Joseph finished second overall in the event that attracted teams from North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
“The partnership is aimed at producing footballers, who will be enrolled in the Inter’s soccer academy in the future,†the school’s headmistress Josephine Nabuyongo explained.
“On top of the school getting technical assistance, the footballers as well will have a chance to train at the Italian club’s facilities.
At the same time, Inter offered sports bicycles, the club’s replica jerseys and boots, balls and cones to the school at an event held early this week.
