FORMER FUFA delegate Goodluck Musinguzi has filed a criminal case against federation president Lawrence Mulindwa, CEO Edgar Watson and vice president in charge of finance Jowali Kyeyago.

According to the plaint filed at the Chief Magistrates Court, Buganda Road, the three FUFA officials presented to the annual assembly financial reports but failed to account for sh972,150,679m they received over four years.

Through his lawyer Moses Ibale of Katuntu and Company Advocates, the former Kabale delegate caused the FUFA accounts to be reviewed by independent certified public accountants and auditors, Kwiri and Associates.

The auditors’ report showed an anomaly of over sh900m in four financial years.

One of the queries raised by the auditors was the manner in which FUFA boss Mulindwa paid himself sh118m, which he claimed to have lent the federation earlier on.

“There was no accountability to the assembly as how the said money was lent to the association by its president and how the apparent conflict of interest was resolved,” the report read.

It further states that the sh118m was “irregularly obtained from FUFA coffers and paid to the president.
