Makerere University Business School (MUBS) management has accused the Uganda Lands Commission (ULC) of allocating ‘ghost’ land to the institution.

MUBS principal Waswa Balunywa told parliament’s public accounts committee on Wednesday that the land that had been given to the institution in exchange for the 13 acres in Bugolobi, had been allocated to other individuals.

Balunywa stunned the MPs when he said management did not know the acreage of the compensated piece of land. Committee chairman Nandala Mafabi and other MPs criticised the officials for failing to ‘fight’ for their land.
