MTN Heathens captain Brian Tabaruka reckons the champions can only self-destruct in the Hima Makerere 10s tournament that kicks off tomorrow at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

“We are drawn in a good pool but I hope we won’t be laid back as a result. The other teams in highly competitive pools will take every game like a final and the knock out stages will certainly be tough,” Tabaruka remarked.

Heathens are drawn in pool A with Kenyan side Mean Machine, G4S Pirates II and Festival.

Chris Lubanga is injured, but Heathens still have a full strength side.

Tabaruka said that local rivals Uganda telecom Kobs, Nakuru, Strathmore University and last year’s finalists Mwamba as the teams to watch.
