MAJ. Gen. James Kazini spent Monday afternoon at Hotel International in Muyenga before leaving at around 8:00pm accompanied by his girl-fried, Lydia Draru.

Sources yesterday told The New Vision that Kazini went to the hotel in the afternoon and was later joined by a woman believed to be one of his wives.

Godfrey Kirumira, a city businessman and proprietor of the hotel, yesterday said Kazini was at his hotel where he had “a late lunch” at about 5:00pm.

“I met him at my hotel where he had a late lunch with friends. We chatted for about 20 minutes and I left. He was okay and he had no problem. My staff told me that he left at around 8:00pm. I am told he later went to Okapi Gallery in Bunga on Ggaba Road,” Kirumira said.

A source at the hotel said before the owner left, he gave orders that Kazini be served on the house. The source said Kazini was in the company of another man who was driving a Hummer.

After some time, Kazini reportedly told his driver to take his wife home and he remained with the unidentified man.

Shortly after the wife had left, Kazini was reportedly joined by the woman whom the Police yesterday identified as Lydia Draru.

After having drinks at the hotel, he reportedly left with Draru at 8:00pm.

The staff said Kazini had frequented the hotel for the last week and would meet Draru at the pool-side or in the gardens where they would have drinks.
