State minister for animal industry Bright Rwamirama said with the introduction of the universal primary and secondary education programmes, children should have no reason to stay out of school. He was recently speaking at the celebrations to mark 85 years of Kinoni Integrated Primary School in Rwampara county.

Residents have been urged to join saving and credit cooperative societies (SACCOs) to avoid losing money to conmen. State minister for finance and planning Ruth Nankabirwa said: “SACCOs are your own banks. They employ people you know. You should join them. It is through your own banks that you will fight unscrupulous people.” Nankabirwa was addressing district leaders and heads of SACCOs during a meeting at Kagote SDA hall in Fort Portal town on Tuesday.
